Activities
By blending science, art, and digital literacy, this Project-Based Learning initiative empowers young learners to collaborate across borders and leave "green footprints of change" across the continent.
Eco-mascot
The Traveling Mascot and Eco Notebook (Activ is a core collaborative task where a handmade mascot, crafted from recycled and sustainable materials, physically travels to each partner school across Europe.
Each hosting school is responsible for adding its own creative touch by designing or modifying a small part of the mascot.
Eco-notebook
The Eco Notebook is a traveling journal that accompanies the mascot.
Every school must contribute with a photograph of the students with the mascot, drawings, ecowishes, ecological habits or reflections about protecting our planet.
Green poem
Students from all participating partner countries work together to co-create a single piece of literature focused on ecology and caring for the Earth.
Word cloud
Each school shares ideas and keywords about what “taking care of the planet” means. The aim is to activate prior knowledge and reflection on sustainability and to create a shared word cloud.
Collaborative Poster
Schools suggest rules focused on digital safety, respect, punctuality, and sustainability. These suggestions are compiled into a collaborative poster.
Logo
Each participating school contributes to the design of a shared project logo by creating a unique element (such as a color scheme, symbol, shape, or word) that represents their contribution to the project theme.
Once all individual elements are completed, they are combined to form a single collaborative logo that symbolizes unity and cooperation among all schools
Carbon footprint map
Students from all partner countries will work collaboratively to explore and compare their environmental impact. Each class will use a simple carbon footprint calculator or questionnaire to measure their footprint in several everyday categories — such as transportation, energy use, recycling, water consumption, and food habits. After collecting the data, all countries will upload their results to a European Carbon Footprint Map including graphs, eco-quotes, and awareness messages.
Green tip video
Students from all partner countries work together to create a collaborative video with simple ecological tips. This international video shows concrete actions students can take to protect the environment
